QUICKBOOKS TO SOFTLEDGER

Outgrowing QuickBooks?
Let’s plan your move.

Keep the history you need. Get a clearer view across your business. Work with Altanash on the migration, software setup, and training that make the change manageable.

DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?

Your team is doing more work
around the accounting.

Reports need another spreadsheet

You export numbers from several company files, combine them, then repeat the work when something changes.

Another company means more repetition

New entities add separate records, more checks, and extra steps before you can see the whole business.

The next system feels like a big project

You want better reporting, but you also need to understand the cost, the work involved, and how your team will learn it.

WHAT YOU CAN DO IN SOFTLEDGER

See the whole business.
Get back to the details.

View companies together or separately

Bring entity-level accounting and consolidated financial reporting into the same platform.

Find the transactions behind a report

Explore your numbers by company, department, project, or other agreed reporting categories.

Connect the tools you still need

Plan connections to payroll, expenses, and other systems. We confirm available integrations and any additional work before quoting.

MOVING YOUR QUICKBOOKS DATA

Choose how much detail
you need to bring with you.

We help select the approach and agree the records, history, and checks included in your project.

QuickBooks Online import

SoftLedger offers a built-in import for lists and historical activity. History arrives as journal entries, rather than individual bills, invoices, and payments.

Conversion with transaction detail

SoftLedger’s migration partner, MMC Convert, offers conversions from QuickBooks Online or Desktop that preserve native transaction types. Pricing is quoted separately.

A selected starting point

A manual conversion can use beginning balances and selected historical journals. We agree what moves and how you will access older records.

THE WORK ALTANASH DOES

A plan your team can review.

01

Show us what needs to work

Walk through your reports and daily tasks with us. We identify the requirements, software fit, and people needed for the project.

02

Review the setup and your data

We configure the agreed workflows, coordinate the migration, and compare the results with your source records. Your team reviews examples before launch.

03

Practice the work before switching

Your team tests everyday tasks and receives training. We agree the launch date, responsibilities, and support after the move.

A FEW PRACTICAL ANSWERS

Before we
get started.

Do we need multiple companies to use SoftLedger?

No. A single-company business may also benefit when reporting, transaction volume, or connected systems have become difficult to manage. We review the actual need and budget with you.

Is moving from QuickBooks a one-click switch?

Importing data is one part of the project. Your team still needs the right configuration, reviewed records, training, and a plan for the first day in the new system.

Will we lose our history?

We agree what history you need, how you need to use it, and how records left outside SoftLedger will remain accessible. Those decisions are part of the migration scope.

How long will the move take?

Timing depends on your QuickBooks version, data condition, companies, integrations, and team availability. We set the schedule after reviewing those items and agree the launch decision with you.

What if QuickBooks still works for us?

Then there may be no reason to replace it. Start with the reporting, process, or growth issue you want to solve; we can help assess whether a change is worthwhile.

What happens in the first conversation?

Tell us your QuickBooks version, how many companies you manage, where your team does manual work, and your timing. We discuss fit and the information needed to scope a project.
